Back in 2009 a designer by the name of Vox came up with an interesting 3D rendering of a modernized, hot rodded Volvo P1800. There where a few rumblings of limited production but as far as I know nothing came of it. A few pictures from CarsUK.net.
User Iamtheonlyreal1 on swedespeed forum has decided to make it a reality. He starts with a $1000 1966 Volvo P1800 and performs radical body surgery, V8 swap as well as updates to suspension and brakes. The distinctive rear fins have been cut off. The wheels are on the big side but are in keeping with the Vox render. Purists avert your eyes!
