The European Classic Car Meet held in Stanley Park, Calgary, Alberta is one of my favourite events of the year. There are always several interesting and rare cars that I would not be able to see anywhere else. Here is a selection of 2014’s attendees.
A stunning pre-WWII 1938 MG TA in blue.
Equally beautiful 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale.
Rare for Canada 1986 TVR 280i with colour keyed mesh wheels. A lovely Rover SD1 sits next to it.
I am not a huge Ferrari person or even an modern exotic car fan but how often do you get to see a Ferrari F50?
This very origional 1972 Citroen SM recently emerged from long term storage.
This 1971 Opel GT might be more common but the great Seventies colour and period slot mag wheels were perfect.
Although they were sold in Canada there are not many of these Innocenti DeTomaso Turbos around anymore. They have a Japanese turbocharged three cylinder engine rather than the British A-series engine of the earlier ones.
Jaguar inspired and powered 1973 Panther.
A very low mileage 1974 Austin Marina TC two door. Perhaps one of the nicest examples left.
