Lethbridge Early Bird Swap Meet 2012

Two Chevrolets and a mystery

I always look forward to the Early Bird Swap Meet here in Lethbridge because it is the first car guy event of the year. It is great to wander around the vendor booths looking at their wares even if you can’t use most of it. I even made some purchases this year. There is always a few interesting vehicles for sale in the corral.

This 1973 Toyota Celica with a period set of slot mag wheels was very tempting.

Other highlights were this 1976 Buick Skylark with only 17K miles on it. The owner was asking $8k for it. Very neat 70s green on it.

1951 Henry J hot rod on a Chevy S10 frame I believe. 1947 DeSoto Club Coupe in the for sale section with its original flat head six cylinder engine.

Even some vintage stuff like the Ford Model T and old Chevrolet

I loved this three wheeler. Not idea what it is but I’d love to know if anyone has any ideas.

The parking lot always has some interesting car and with the mild weather it was no exception. How about a pair of classic Canadian market trucks? A 1968 Mercury and a classic Fargo.

When was the last time you saw a Hyundia Excel? Or a Lincoln Versailles?

There is usually a few project vehicles outside looking a for a new owner. Probably most interesting to me is this Rambler American Super convertible.

I even made a few purchases like a set of rims/tires and a vintage ’73 license plate for my Mazda. As well I picked up a couple brochures for a Hyundai Pony and Mazda 100.
