Hot Rod magazine does a late second generation Camaro

When I owned my 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 I heard all the mullet and white trash jokes but I really enjoyed mine. It helped that it was in mint condition with a 4spd manual gearbox as well but the urethane nosed Camaros haven’t been given much respect. They are mostly viewed as parts cars for the earlier second generation Camaros and overshadowed by the “Smokey and the Bandit” style Firebirds. Most have been used up and junked by now. I was pleased to see Hot Rod magazine select one as a project car and not just a dirt cheap, low dollar rat either. This 1979 Z28 was treated to an emissions legal GM crate motor.
